1. If a member is unable to attend the final stage, does their finalist status get canceled?

If the team passes to the final stage, all team members are prohibited from changing team members and withdrawing from the competition. However, in unavoidable circumstances where a member cannot attend, the team must instead proceed with the final events with the remaining members with the approval of the committee.

2. Will the entire series of final stages be carried out offline in Yogyakarta?

The announcement of the case study, as well as the mentoring and work of white papers and pitch decks, will be conducted online within the predetermined time frame. Only the final presentation will be held offline in Yogyakarta. Additionally, finalists are required to attend the company visit and awarding night the following day.

3. Do 200-300 words include the title?

No, 200-300 words counted excluding the title.

4. Is submission for abstracts free?

Yes. There is no fee for abstract submission (free).

5. Is there an additional fee when submitting a full white paper?

Sending a full white paper is accompanied by a re-registration fee of IDR 200,000 / $13.4USD

6. Will there be an extension of the collection time?

The deadline for abstract submission is 18th June 2023. If in the future there is a change in time, the committee will announce it at the 2023 Industrial Workshop’s social media.

7. What is the difference between paper and white paper?

Paper is a type of scientific paper written in detail and is the result of research or similar activity. Paper has a close relationship with the world of education. White papers are documents that are intended to provide information to readers on a particular topic. White papers combine expert knowledge and research into a document that supports a specific solution or recommendation. White papers allow readers to understand an issue, solve a problem, or make a decision. For writing, there are also differences, in the White Paper the writing is allowed to use a visual communication design. 8. Is it permissible to choose more than one sub-theme?

Solutions from participants are allowed to contain more than one sub-theme, but the team is required to focus on one sub-theme listed in the abstract.

9. Is there any feedback from the committee when our files have been collected?

Yes, when the file has been submitted, participants are expected to confirm the link listed on the submitting google form and the committee will provide feedback through the media.

11. Are the White Paper Competition issues limited to certain countries?

No, this white paper competition is on a global scale so that the issues that can be raised are not limited to certain countries.

12. What are the considerations in teams up for individual participants?

Individual participants will be merged into a team with several considerations: Individual participants who has similar sub-theme and The constraints which have been delivered by the individual participants on registration form

13. When will the teams be announced for individual participants?

Teams will be announced at the semi-finals announcement stage, on 9th July 2023. The white paper will be conducted at the semi-finals stage in the team.

14. What if the participants disagree or don’t want to be collected into a team?

Individual participants can continue the series of the events as individuals.
